A bug in Facebook’s software let subscribers see the private photos of other Facebook users at least since the last software update on Nov. 27, says a Technorati blog post.

Hey, if it can happen to Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook CEO, it can happen to you.

Here’s how it worked: Users rolled over the Report/Block link at the bottom right of a picture to report another subscriber’s photo as pornographic. The blocking tool then asked you to identify other photos that should be blocked as part of that account – which is where the bug comes in. Not only were the public photos of that account shown, but private photos as well.

Facebook has since disabled the feature until it can be fixed.
